Whole Story Method
One-on-one life & career coaching · Minneapolis & online

Introducing The Whole Story Method.

One-on-one coaching that treats your life as one integrated story: career, relationships, health, money and inner life, working together.

Together we will understand the chapter you are in, discern what matters most within it, and turn that clarity into action.

Who it’s for

You feel stuck, unclear or simply ready to take things next level.

One-on-one coaching provides accountability and guidance to get you on track towards a meaningful life.

You’ve ChatGPT’d everything and read the books, but you’re still not sure you’re headed the right way
You want the guidance of someone who has navigated success in business and personal life before
You’re doing well by every outside measure, and running on empty underneath it
You’re carrying an ambition you haven’t said out loud to anyone yet
You keep postponing the bold move until things settle down, and they never do
Your calendar, your money and your energy aren’t going where you say your priorities are
Things are good, and you’re ready for them to be great, but you know you won’t get there alone
You need someone outside your life who will tell you the truth, then hold you to what you said you’d do
Whole Story Method
Whole Story Method

One story,
eight parts.

You are more than the pain points that brought you here. Before we address any particular part of your life, we look at the whole of it — the ring around everything, the person at the center, and the eight areas that make up a life.

Work

Vocation, ambition, and the thing you are actually building.

Romantic Partner

Your closest partnership — and what it is carrying right now.

Family

Parenting, origin, and the people you are responsible to.

Body

Sleep, movement, energy — the physical baseline everything runs on.

A figure standing inside a circle and a square, at the centre of the parts of one life

Inner Life

Faith, meaning, emotional honesty — whatever is underneath.

Money

Resources and pressure, and what you are optimizing for.

Community

Friendship and belonging — who actually knows you.

Play

Rest, joy, and the parts of you that are not productive.

The Chapter & The Life Team

Where you are,
and who is with you.

The Whole Story Method integrates the whole self by assessing and strengthening each part — but it is done sequenced, across time. This is the story we are each living, and there are others we must take with us.

Behind you

The chapter you left

What it built in you, what it cost, and the habits that outlived it.

Now — The Chapter

The season you are in

A win in one chapter looks nothing like a win in another. We name this one and let it set the terms.

Ahead

The chapter you are moving toward

Not a five-year plan. The direction this season is pointing, and the bold move it asks for.

The Life Team

No one carries their story alone

Your relationships are one of your greatest resources. We work to identify how to strengthen your immediate circle.

We will work together to audit your inner circle and cultivate strong, healthy relationships that will support you on your journey.

What comes out of it

You are equipped
with practical tools.

01

Language for your life

Beforea vague sense that something is off

NowYou can say, in one sentence, what chapter you are in and what it is asking of you. Most people have never once put that into words.

02

A map you can return to

Beforethe loudest problem sets the agenda

NowEight parts, honestly assessed. You know which ones are carrying weight, which are running on empty, and which can wait until the next chapter.

03

The bold move, made

Beforethe same conversation, on a loop

NowThe decision you have been circling for months gets named, pressure-tested, and put on a date. You leave every session with one committed move.

04

A circle worth leaning on

Beforeholding most of it by yourself

NowYour inner circle audited and strengthened, and the empty seats named — so you stop carrying alone the things that were never yours to carry alone.

How it works

Our rhythm.

01 — Before

You send the real thing.

Ahead of each session you send what’s actually on your mind — the decision, the tension, the thing you keep avoiding. No prep deck, no polish. It means we start in the middle instead of warming up.

02 — Session

Sixty minutes, fully present.

We work it through together — naming what’s true, testing the story you’re telling yourself, and finding the move underneath. Direct, warm, and honest. You’ll leave with language you didn’t have when you walked in.

03 — After

One page, one commitment.

You get a short written recap — what we uncovered and the one move you’re making before we talk again. Small, specific, and yours.

04 — Between

I’m reachable.

On the monthly rhythm, the work continues between sessions — text or voice memo when a decision lands early or something breaks open. Momentum matters more than the calendar.

Most people don’t need more information.
They need someone to help them say the true thing — and then go do it.

or build a rhythm.

Start with a single session and see how it feels. Most people who come once stay on the monthly rhythm — because the work compounds.

02

The Rhythm

Ongoing coaching, monthly.

  • Text and voice-memo access between sessions
  • A standing seat — same time, every month
  • Three-month minimum, then month to month
$1,200/mo Three-month minimum Start the rhythm

Not sure which fits? Book a single session first — it counts toward your first month if you continue.

Questions

Coaching, answered.

What is one-on-one coaching?

One-on-one coaching is a private, ongoing conversation with a coach who helps you get clear on where you are, decide what matters most, and follow through. Our coaching uses the Whole Story Method, which looks at your whole life before working on any one part of it.

Is this life coaching or career coaching?

Both. Most people come with a career question, such as a transition, a promotion or a new venture, and find it is tied to the rest of their life. We look at work, relationships, health, money and inner life together, so the career move and the life around it line up.

Do you coach in person in Minneapolis or online?

Both. Coaching is based in Minneapolis, and sessions also happen online by video, so you can work with us from anywhere.

How much does coaching cost?

A single 60-minute session is $350. The Rhythm, our ongoing option, is $1,200 a month for two 60-minute sessions, with a three-month minimum.

How do I get started?
